Nestled in the charming village of Benediktbeuern, Gasthof Herzogstand Bei Stefan radiates traditional Bavarian hospitality at the base of the majestic Benediktenwand mountain. The family-run guest house captivated us from the start with a warm welcome drink, setting the tone for an authentic Bavarian experience.The staff, fluent in Czech, German, English, and Hungarian, were a pleasure to interact with. Exploring the area was a delight, offering a plethora of activities including hiking, cycling, golf, and even skiing for the winter enthusiasts among us.One of the highlights of our stay was indulging in the delectable sausages and meats from the family's own butcher's shop, adding a deliciously local flavor to our dining experience. The cosy restaurant and charming beer garden served up hearty Bavarian specialties, perfect for immersing ourselves in the region's rich culinary heritage.Our room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with modern amenities like free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and a comfortable double bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The serene natural beauty of the area, with attractions like Kochelsee and Streidlgarten-Rose Park nearby, provided a picturesque backdrop to our adventures. From the convenient 24-hour front desk to the lovely breakfast buffet, terrace, and garden, every detail added to the overall charm of our experience.
